What the conversations are like
You’ll be paired with another performer, recording from separate rooms while having a real conversation together. We provide a simple scenario; you improvise the dialogue using your natural voice and accent.
You don’t need to be clever, dramatic, or emotional—just listen and respond naturally. For example: you borrowed someone’s car, a shopping cart hit the door, and now the handle isn’t working. How would that conversation actually go?
These conversations support AI training involving different voices and accents.
Project details, before you apply
What we’re making: Recordings are for conversational AI / machine-learning voice-assistant development. You’ll have spontaneous, scenario-based conversations with another performer.
Pay: $100–$200 per finished hour of dialogue. A finished hour means completed usable dialogue, rather than time spent at the studio. Recording, preparation, and retakes may take longer.
Time & location: In-person recording in Eugene, Oregon. The project targets approximately two finished hours of dialogue per week, subject to project needs and performer fit.
Payment timing & final terms: Your exact rate, payment schedule, approval criteria, recording-use rights, and final participation agreement will be provided in writing before you commit to recording. Applying does not guarantee selection or ongoing work.
Who can apply: Adults 18+ who speak fluent English with an authentic natural accent and can reliably travel to Eugene. Improv or performance experience is helpful.
